Crowns

When teeth become discolored or broken down from decay or trauma, crowns can restore the esthetics and functionality of your smile. Crowns (also called ‘caps’) are made of porcelain, gold, or a combination of the two materials. Topical anaesthetic is first used to freeze the gum before the local anaesthetic is given. Then the tooth is prepared and an impression is taken. We will make a temporary crown to put on the tooth. At your next visit, we will try-in the crown to guarantee a good fit and then cement the crown.
